Dr. Lymon Gaines Jr. is the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hartwell, Cincinnati, Ohio where he has served since October 10, 2003. He has served as Pastor at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Addyston, Ohio from 1997 to 2003.

Dr. Gaines is married to a beautiful and supportive wife, Wanda, and are thankful parents of two, daughter Lisa and son Leslie, with seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Dr. Gaines serves as professor for Temple Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio; First Vice Moderator for the Western Union Baptist District Association; Chairperson for the W. U. B. D. A. Scholarship Program; the HOA Board (Home Owners Association) as Treasurer for the Country Oaks Community.

Dr. Gaines has served in Community Services from Prison Ministry; Youth Ministries; to Chaplain and Teacher.

Dr. Gaines attended Temple Bible College and earned a BA Degree, Certificate of Study in Bible and Diploma in Bible.

In 2021, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Zion Hill Baptist Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.

Dr. Gaines loves to preach and teach, and will often be seen playing his saxophone at church or at some musical concert. He and his wife love riding their motorcycle in their spare time.
